Day 15: Travel Day

We started our day bright and early (6:30), to go get a "jump-start" on shelling! We wanted to get first dibs on the shells that were washed ashore during the night. We had more success. Then it was time to clean off all of the shells and pack them up for our trip home. We left Sanibel to head north to Tampa. Instead of going straight to our hotel, we decided to find a movie theater and go see Monsters University, because it was raining. It was a very creative movie, and all of us enjoyed it. Since the rain had stopped, we got in the car and headed to our hotel.  Once we checked in, went straight to the pool for a few hour of R and R. Across the street from the hotel, the town had close off several blocks so they could have a little street fair. It was late afternoon, and we went exploring.  We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the arts and crafts, and the food!  After a while the wind picked up, and we knew what was coming--a thunderstorm. We quickly headed into a restaurant for dinner. As it turned out, it was a major downpour complete with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds. By the time we done eating, the storm had passed. Gotta love this Florida rain. Anxious to see Winter the dolphin (Dolphin Tale) tomorrow.
